Access Unlocked Sunday April 5, 2026 Fort Worth, Texas – A gasoline tanker burned early Sunday after a crash knocked down nearby power lines, Fort Worth officials said. The truck, which was transporting roughly 9,000 gallons of fuel, left the roadway near a Valero station and was damaged, leading to a spill that ignited when electricity arced from the fallen lines around 1 a.m., according to the Fort Worth Fire Department. The driver suffered serious burn injuries and was reported in critical condition at a hospital; no other injuries were reported. Fire crews spent several hours cooling the tanker with water and using sand to limit the spread of gasoline before departing the scene about 7 a.m.
