Access Unlocked Wednesday November 29, 2023 Mesquite Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a stolen Dodge Charger, when the eighteen (18) year-old fled the scene.
The driver of the vehicle exited the freeway on to Gross Road from North Bound 635 and crashed the vehicle into a light pole at the intersection of Ridgeview Street and Gross Road.
The driver died on the scene, with a seventeen (17) year-old female passenger being taken to the hospital.
The incident occurred around 10:40 p.m.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
