Access Unlocked Tuesday November 5, 2024 South Carolina police have arrested twenty (20) year-old Kristofer Kelle McDonald in the shooting death of fifty-four (54) year-old Lori Wind. McDonald claimed he mistook Wind for a deer.
Wind and her husband were walking their dog near the Sawmill Branch walking trail in Summerville, South Carolina, at around 8:15 pm on October 29, when McDonald shot Wind and her husband using a twenty (20) gauge shotgun.
McDonald has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, criminal negligent use of a firearm resulting in death, criminal negligent use of a firearm resulting in great bodily harm, and night hunting.
