Access Unlocked Tuesday August 23, 2023 Pamela Ann Merritt of Houston, Texas has been arrested and charged with the murder of Colin Kerdachi.
Merritt suggested to authorities that seven-eight (78) year-old Kerdachi “faked” his own death and was living in Africa.
In December 2021 police were called to 605 West Clay Street a home which Kerdachi’s owned. A woman renting a room alerted the authorities to seeing a human skeleton. At the time of the discovery the renter was cleaning the home and the backyard.
Police were able to confirm the decomposing body was that of Kerdachi.
An autopsy revealed the landlord sustained blunt force trauma and was stabbed several times in the ribs.
A judge has set forty-three (43) year-old Merritt’s bond at $500,000 and she must seek mental health treatment.
