Access Unlocked Saturday October 21, 2023 On Thursday Dallas Independent School District (DISD) voted to have the track at John E. Kincaide Stadium named after Sha’Carri Richardson.
Richardson was an eight (8) time state champion at Carter High School. In 2021 Richardson was a gold-medal contender for the Tokyo Olympics after winning the 100 at the Olympic trials. However, she was unable to compete after testing positive for marijuana that led to a one-month suspension. This year Sha’Carri Richardson beat three (3) of the fastest sprinters in history, making her the fastest woman in the world after running a record time of record time of 10.65 seconds.
