Access Unlocked Saturday January 28, 2023 On Saturday January 7th, Memphis, Tennessee police officers Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley, Emmitt Martin III, Desmond Mills Jr., and Justin Smith brutal beat twenty-nine (29) old-year Tyre Nichols.
At the time of the incident Nichols, who was a FedEx driver was heading, before being pulled over for alleged reckless driving. The victim was tased, peppered sprayed, kicked, and punched for approximately three (3) minutes
Nichols died three (3) days later due to the brutal beating.
These officers were a part of “Scorpion unit,” which has now been disbanded due to the incident.

All five (5) officers were fired from the Memphis police department on January 18. Some of the charges the disgraced officers are facing include second-degree murder, aggravated assault, official misconduct, official oppression, and aggravated kidnapping.
The officers are currently in jail, with a bond arraignment set for February 18.
