39th President Jimmy Carter Has Died

Access Unlocked Sunday December 29, 2024 Jimmy Carter who was the longest living president of the United States has died of at the age of 100. Carter peacefully passed away surrounded by family at his Plains, Georgia home.

 Carter was placed on hospice nearly two (2) years prior to his death.

On August 3, 2015, Carter underwent surgery to remove a small mass on his liver.  It was also announced on August 20, 2015, melanoma was found in his brain and liver.  It was announced that Carter was cancer free in December of that same year.

The cause of the 39th president has not been released.

The funeral will be held on January 9th at Washington National Cathedral

Carter’s wife Rosalynn passed away in November of 2023 in hospice care, after being diagnosed with dementia.
