Access Unlocked Sunday April 6, 2025 The Texas Department of State Health Services has reported the death of a second child Texas from measles.

The young child who passed away on Thursday was hospitalized in a Lubbock hospital, failing ill to what doctors described as measles pulmonary failure.

According to reports, the child was not vaccinated.

Approximately 480 cases of measles with 56 hospitalizations have been reported in west Texas.
