In The Future No New Gas Vehicles Will Be Allowed in California

Access Unlocked Thursday September 24, 2020 The Governor of California signed a bill to end the sale of diesel and gas passenger vehicles by 2035.

To complete this task, the California Air Resource Board would develop regulations ensuring new passenger vehicles sold in the state are electric or “zero-emissions.”

This restriction does not prohibit anyone from purchasing or owning a used gas-powered car or truck.

Governor Gavin Newsom stated, “For too many decades, we have allowed cars to pollute the air that our children and families breathe.”
