Access Unlocked Wednesday August 20, 2025 Christopher Jerome Blanton has been identified as a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man on August 18 in Fort Worth. The incident occurred at approximately 2:21 PM in the 4600 block of E. Berry Street, after which Blanton fled the scene. The twenty-nine-year-old was initially charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. However, following the victim’s death on August 19, the charges were upgraded to murder.
Reports indicate that the shooting stemmed from Blanton’s belief that the victim was following him, which led him to feel threatened.
