Access Unlocked Wednesday March 1, 2023 Lori Lightfoot who is Chicago’s first black woman and openly gay mayor, has lost her re-election bid.
Lightfoot is the first mayor of the city, to lose re-election in forty (40) years.
A runoff is scheduled to take place on April 4th, between former public-schools chief Paul Vallas and Cook County Board member Brandon Johnson.
