Access Unlocked Sunday January 8, 2023 On Friday Abby Zwerner was shot by her six (6) year-old student at Richneck Elementary School, located in Newport News, Virginia.
The second-grade teacher’s condition is now listed as stable, after authorities initially stated her injuries were life threatening.
The student was taken into custody following the incident.
There we no other injuries due to the shooting.
Police continue to investigate the non-accidental shooting.
