Deputy U.S. Marshal shot in the line of duty

Access Unlocked Friday January 19, 2018 While executing a search warrant at a Harrisburg, Pennsylvania home, Deputy U.S. Marshal Christopher David Hill was shot and killed.

Authorities were in the process of arresting Shayla Lynette Towles Pierce, when shots rang out from the second floor, hitting officers on the first.

The shooter thirty-one (31) year-old Kevin Sturgis was shot and killed during the incident, which took place around 06:30 a.m. local time on Thursday.

Forty-five (45) year-old Hill was a part of the United States Marshals Service for eleven (11) years.

Officer Kyle Pitts was also injured at the scene.
