Access Unlocked Monday July 17, 2017 Fifty-eight (58) year-old William “Willie” Cooper who was the principal officer of Lilydale Outreach Workers for a Better Community, was shot over the weekend.
Cooper was shot in the mouth and back with an AR-15, by someone in a dark-colored vehicle during a drive by.
Chicago police continue to search for the shooter.
Cooper died on the scene, near the Lilydale Outreach.
Authorities are not certain if the killing was random.
More than two thousand (2,000) people have been shot in Chicago since the beginning of the year.
