Karla Guadamuz-Davis is the CEO of Fight Time Promotions and is the first and only Latin female Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) promoter. Prior to becoming the CEO Fight Time Promotions, Davis was a journalists, television producer, writer and the owner of a marketing and promotion firm.
She was also a writer for the Miami Herald and South Florida Magazine. Davis also worked with WPTV News out of West Palm Beach and Florida’s WSNV TV channel 7, as a News Assignment Editor and Field Producer.
Fight Time Promotions has been successfully in existence for over six (6) years, and has had over thirty (30) MMA showcases, in Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Davis did not start this journey alone, it all began with her late husband Olympic Gold Medalist Howard Davis Jr. The 1976 Olympian passed away from Stage IV Lung Cancer, at the age of fifty-nine (59) in December of 2015. He was a vegan who never smoked and was always in the gym.
Karla continues to find ways to grow the Fight Time brand and keep her husband’s legacy alive. She will produce quarterly events through the Howard Davis Jr. Foundation, which she co- founded with her late husband. The foundation was created, to provide a better environment for children in low-income neighborhoods. Recently, a gym in Howard’s hometown of Glen Clove, New York was renamed to The Howard Davis Jr. Boxing Gym. Karla plans to create a board, produce events, raise money and start the Howard Davis summer camp which will be free for children.
Live fights can be viewed on Fight Time Promtions digital platform at www.fighttimepromotions.com.
